This carefully designed itinerary allows for gradual acclimatisation, giving you the best possible chance of reaching Everest Base Camp safely and successfully, supported by experienced local guides and Sherpas from the Everest region.

The experience

You’ll trek through dramatic mountain landscapes, traditional Sherpa villages and ancient monasteries, surrounded by the sights of Buddhism and Hinduism. Eight of the world’s fourteen highest peaks sit within this region, making this one of the most awe-inspiring environments on Earth.

This challenge is as much a personal journey as it is a physical one — many participants describe it as spiritual, humbling and life-changing.

The itinerary

This is an 18-day challenge, including travel.

Highlights include:

• Flying into Lukla, one of the world’s most famous mountain airstrips
  
• Trekking through Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest
  
• Acclimatisation days built into the itinerary
  
• Reaching Everest Base Camp and climbing Kala Patthar for panoramic views
  
• Exploring Kathmandu before and after the trek
